1

Preliminary diagnosis

This stage includes initial conversations about what the entrepreneur would like to change in his organization and how the consultant could help him, requesting basic information, preparing a task plan based on a preliminary analysis of the problem and generalities about the consulting service.

2

Diagnosis of the current situation

It is a stage of in-depth diagnosis of problems that require solution, based on investigation of the current situation and analysis of the context. In this part of the process, the change that is needed and the main objectives to be achieved are determined together with the client.

3

Action planning

The goal is to find solutions to problems. It covers the study of the various solutions, the evaluation of the options, the development of a plan to introduce the changes and the presentation of proposals to the client. The consultant can choose from a wide range of techniques, especially if the client’s participation in this phase is active.

4

Implementation of the action plan

It is time to implement the proposals developed between the consultant in collaboration with the client. The proposed changes are beginning to become a reality, things that have been planned are beginning to happen, and new problems and unforeseen obstacles may also appear. This may require planning changes to adjust actions.

5

Conclusion and follow-up plan

This last phase of the consulting process includes the evaluation of the changes made and the results achieved. Final reports are presented and approved. If there is a need and interest in continuing the collaborative relationship, a follow-up plan and future contacts will be defined by establishing a new hire.
